Founded by Tony Green in 1977. We have the late Tony to thank for bringing us the largest fleet of Private Hire vehicles in Oxfordshire.
His son Mark joined the business in 1988, when most taxis were Ford Cortinas and luxury cars were Fords Granadas! Times have certainly changed since then, but we proudly keep the same values that Tony established: offering our customers reliable service at a competitive price.

At 001 we take the environment very seriously and are working very hard to adopt a carbon emission-free status very soon. We believe that travel shouldn’t have to cost the earth. We are committed to providing the highest standards of service with the least impact on the environment for no extra cost.
To offset our current carbon footprint we plant a tree for every vehicle that we put on the road. By using carbon offsetting we can reduce the carbon in the atmosphere by the same amount we’ve added. Our priority is to ensure that 001 is a zero-emissions company and we aim to get there as quickly as possible.
